everyday things

i wake the same everyday
covers too warm to come off / naked feet caressing mine
a cats claw catches the curve of my lips / drags me out of bed
cracked window / cool morning air / barely brighted sky
charcoal stains my teeth / i spit / mushroom head / red / nesting behind the sink / soft surface
clothes laundered the night before / an excuse for friends to come over / smokey atmosphere / blushing faces to shy to admit
/ this is all we live for /
i don't have a lot / crisp strawberries in the fridge / a hissing coffee pot / wooden desk with no finish
i would not have this any other way
